Research background
GH secretion is governed by two different receptors on the same cell: the GHRH one and the ghrelin one (GHS-R1a). They are separate pathways converging on the somatotroph, and that is why this particular combination is the most studied of the group: it allows one to look at what happens when both are stimulated at once rather than just one.
Each component brings one side. CJC-1295 no-DAC is fragment 1-29 of GHRH with four substitutions that protect it from dipeptidyl peptidase IV. Ipamorelin is a pentapeptide GHS-R1a agonist whose described characteristic is selectivity: in the literature it is the benchmark for separating the ghrelin pathway from the effects on cortisol and prolactin that other secretagogues carry with them.
As with any blend, the mixture has no literature of its own: what is published refers to each component separately. And the split of the 10 mg — 5 and 5 — matters on reconstitution, because both end up at the same concentration in the solvent but are molecules of very different size.
It carries the no-DAC, not CJC-1295 with DAC: they are two distinct compounds with different CAS numbers, formulas and weights, and that is why the catalogue keeps them apart.
Reconstitution and handling
- Work on a clean surface and disinfect the vial stopper with an alcohol wipe before piercing it.
- Add the bacteriostatic water slowly, letting it run down the inner wall of the vial rather than landing on the powder.
- Do not shake. Swirl the vial gently until the lyophilized powder has fully dissolved: vigorous agitation degrades the peptide.
- The solution should come out clear. If it turns cloudy or shows suspended particles, do not use it.
Storage and stability
- Before reconstitution: refrigerated between 2 and 8 °C, protected from light and moisture.
- After reconstitution: in the fridge and away from light. In solution the peptide lasts far less than as a powder, so it is best used soon.
- Avoid freeze-thaw cycles.
